At All Saints we know everyone has different needs and talents. We invite you to sample our activities and organizations. Join one if you wish or help us create something new. Here is a small selection of what we have to offer.
Save the Dates:
Spiritual Life Survey :
We encourage you to participate in the Spiritual Life Survey which will soon be available online and in the church office through February 12. Read Bishop Lee's Letter regarding the survey.
Annual Parish Meeting :
Sunday February 5 following the 10:30a.m. service. Following the meeting Fr. Brian and Judy will provide a festive chicken/sausage gumbo complemented by a lightly tossed salad an golden brown garlic bread. There will be hot dogs and chips for the "gumbo challenged". Annual Reports are due in the church office by Wednesday, January 25. Reports received after that date may not be included int he annual report. Wardens and New vestry members will be elected. Candidates for Vestry: Tony Parkinson, Lynn Peters, Dorothy Steinman. The candidate for Jr. Warden is Jim Gumina. Kent Wilson is a candidate to complete Jim's remaining 1yr term on the Vestry.
Fr. Luis Andrade:
Thursday, January 19 at the noonday service at St. Andrew's chapel (entrance on Huron St.) of St. James Cathedral, Luis Andrade was received as an Episcopal priest from the Roman Catholic tradition. Fr. Luis will celebrate mass in Spanish at St. Michael and All Angels in Berwyn Sunday, January 22. Fr. Luis will celebrate the mass in English at All Saints at the 7:30 and 10:30a.m. services on January 29.
Bible Study at Emmanuel-La Grange:
Emmanuel Episcopal, LaGrange invites your participation in the Wednesday morning Bible Study from 10:30a.m. until noon. No advance preparation needed - come, learn, and join in making a "joyful noise". Study resumed January 11 at 203 S. Kensington, La Grange.
Flower Calendar :
The flower calendar for 2012 Altar Flowers is posted in the cloiser. If you have not taken advantage of this opportunity please consider this way of memorializing or honoring someone special in your life.
Palms to Ashes :
Please bring your palm branches to church so they may be burned to create the ashes for the Ash Wednesday services. you may leave them on the counter in the Cloister.
Nursery Workers:
We ar looking for volunteers to serve in the nursery during the 10:30a.m. service. We are looking for adults and youth to help care for the youngest members of the parish. Our hope is that we will have enough volunteers to one person will not need to server more than once during a six-week or two-month period. All Saints has it's own Facebook page-Check it out. Once you set up your own page sign up on our page as a "fan" with just a click. That's all there is too it! You'll see all kinds of announcements for events, photos, messages, etc.
