Meet Our Staff and Lay Leadership
A few of the folks you'll meet at All Saints, and what they do.
The Rev. L. D. Wood-Hull
Rector
Nancy Schneider
Sexton
Nancy Schneider is a life long member of All Saints Episcopal Church: baptized, attended Sunday School, confirmed and married in her beloved church. She has been our sexton since February of 2008. Her job responsibilities are to take care of the buildings and grounds. This includes cleaning, upkeep, setting up for functions as well as coordinating new projects. She feels truly blessed and humbled to be privileged to take care of the church and its congregation. Nancy lives with her husband Dave and together they have three boys. Nancy's in-office hours are Tuesday, 9:00AM - 5:00PM, and Friday, 9:00AM - 4:00PM. Email Nancy.
Mara Leonard
Minister of Music
Mara received her Master of Music from Chicago Musical College in 1987 in cello performance, and has performed in many area orchestras and chamber groups. She has also been organist for many congregations since the age of 16. During her undergrad years at North Park College she took two years of organ, studied voice and sang in the choir. Mara has been organist and choir director at St. James Lutheran Church for 26 years (!), right down the road in Western Springs. She lives in Oak Park with her husband Larry, also a musician, and their daughter Karina, who's sheltering with them right now and Sterling, the cat. She is happy to be at All Saints, playing and getting to know everyone, and is looking forward to getting back to working with the choir when we can all safely raise our voices in praise and service to the Lord. Email Mara.
Lay Leadership at All Saints
The parish is governed by a council of elected members called the vestry. Two co-wardens, called "senior" and "junior" are the heads of the vestry and serve as a council of advice to the rector. Wardens and vestry members are elected once a year at our annual meeting on the last Sunday of January, along with delegates to diocesan convention.
